Bertie County elevation and terrain tools
Coast • County seat: Windsor
Bertie County is a low wedge of coastal plain between the Roanoke River on its south and the Chowan River on its east, which meet at the head of Albemarle Sound. Broad swamp forests line the Roanoke bottoms and the Cashie River, with level fields on the slightly higher ground between them.
