Currituck County elevation and terrain tools
Coast • County seat: Currituck
Currituck County is a thin mainland peninsula and a strip of the northern Outer Banks separated by the shallow water of Currituck Sound. The mainland is flat and barely above the sound, fringed with marsh and swamp, while the barrier beach carries a line of dunes and maritime forest north to the Virginia line.
