Surry County elevation and terrain tools
Foothills • County seat: Dobson
Surry County is foothills country beneath the Blue Ridge Escarpment, which rises along its northwestern edge, with the Yadkin River along its southern boundary. Pilot Mountain stands alone above the rolling ground in its southeast, and the Ararat, Fisher and Mitchell rivers run down from the escarpment to the Yadkin.
