Wake County elevation and terrain tools

Piedmont • County seat: Raleigh

Wake County is rolling eastern piedmont crossed by the Neuse River, which leaves Falls Lake on its northern edge and runs southeast past Raleigh toward the fall line. Crabtree and Swift creeks drain the hills around the city, and Harris Lake fills a creek valley in its southwestern corner.
